About the Job
* The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with our team to provide high-quality services to those attending Day Services, ensuring the safety and well-being of service users and others on and off premises.
* They will also support service users in setting personal goals and developing plans to achieve them, working closely with Person Centred Planning (PCP).
* This role requires excellent communication skills, enabling the candidate to listen to service users' wishes and promote self-advocacy while encouraging independence in daily life.
* As a key worker, the Healthcare Assistant will provide personal assistance in areas such as intimate care, adapting to individual needs with a flexible approach.
* Maintaining confidentiality and discretion is essential in all dealings with service users, families, and staff.
Your Skills and Qualifications
* We are looking for someone who has obtained or near completion of a full Major FETAC Level 5 award in a relevant healthcare qualification.
* A keen interest in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is essential.
* The ideal candidate should be committed to supporting people to achieve their goals and possess a highly motivated team player mindset, striving to deliver an excellent service.
* Familiarity with the Healthcare Assistant role within the Day Services Department and ability to implement a person-centred approach is crucial.
