Our client, a leading manufacturer of heavy equipment, is seeking a Plant Fitter to join their team in Co. Laois. This is a full-time, workshop-based role focused on the assembly and commissioning of plant machinery, offering hands-on work and full training on company-specific systems. What you will do: Fit and assemble hydraulic and electrical systems on plant machinery Work on the build and final assembly of heavy equipment Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics Carry out hydraulic plumbing and system installation Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards Work independently and as part of a skilled production team What we are looking for: 5 years+ experience as a Plant Fitter, Hydraulic Fitter, Agri Mechanic or similar Solid understanding of hydraulic systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills Team player with a strong work ethic Salary & Benefits: Competitive hourly rate depending on experience Overtime available Performance-related bonus Pension scheme Temporary accommodation available On-site parking and canteen facilities This is an excellent opportunity for a Plant Fitter who wants to work in a modern manufacturing environment, building high-quality machinery and developing their technical skills further.
