Purchasing and Stock Control Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Purchasing and Stock Control Specialist to support our client's purchasing and stock control functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and terms, and reporting regularly to management on purchasing activities and stock performance.
Responsibilities
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure efficient procurement of goods and services
* Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve best value
* Monitor stock levels and process stock orders in a timely manner
* Sources new products to meet business needs
* Ensure accurate and efficient stock control at all times
Requirements
* Previous experience in a purchasing or similar role is highly advantageous
* Strong stock control skills with a keen eye for accuracy and efficiency
* Proven ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
* Confident in negotiating with suppliers to achieve best value
* Strong mathematical and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
* Product knowledge of hardware and building supplies is advantageous
