Mechanical/Workshop Fitter We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical/Workshop Fitter to join our expanding team here at Howden Tools, Co. Cavan. Howden Tools & Garage Equipment Ltd established in 1970 is one of Ireland's leading suppliers/distributors of Garage equipment and tools. The work will include the installation, commissioning, repair and service of a wide variety of machinery from Vehicle Lifts, Tyre Changers, HGV Truck Test Lanes, Generators, Power Washers, Compressors, Welders and much more besides. We install machines across Ireland & Northern Ireland. Ideally the candidate will have experience in a similar type role and the successful applicant will also benefit from specific on the job training from our experienced in-house mechanical team. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Role & Responsibilities: Install Heavy Machinery in the field Carry out planned service and maintenance of plant and machinery Service, fault find and carry out breakdown repairs on customer premises Carry out pre-inspection checks on new machines Customer support and assistance Liaise with the workshop manager Comply with the Company's Health & Safety policy Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Knowledge of mechanical/electrical engineering Agricultural or Mechanical background advantageous Tools and Hardware knowledge desirable Good people skills and team player Good house keeping Benefits Package: Attractive salary offered to successful candidate.
