· Assuming a lead role liaising with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the mechanical design and coordinate with all other disciplines regarding mechanical requirements and their influence on other systems.
· Design of Mechanical Services and Installations from initial concept to handover, including brief development and MEP strategies/(low-carbon) solutions.
· Compilation of Design Drawings & Specifications for Mechanical Services.
· Ensure full coordination between specifications and drawings.
· Lead role in coordinating with the supply chain and contractors to ensure successful delivery of MEP installations.
· Conduct site installation inspections and report on progress.
Your Education/Profile:
Level 8 Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience, primarily in design within a consultancy or Mechanical Contractor environment.
Chartered Engineer status or progressing towards it.
Proven track record in leading teams.
Experience managing contractors and onsite work, including understanding of commissioning and maintenance considerations.
Organized, adaptable, and flexible in approach.
Ability to meet strict project deadlines.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
Experience in designing Building Services Mechanical systems (including BCAR requirements) such as HVAC, public health, BMS/controls.
As a senior MEP engineer, a solid understanding of Building Services Electrical systems.
Revit experience is advantageous.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the Irish market is essential.
