Harmony House Community Centre is seeking a qualified Part-Time Preschool Educator for a one-year maternity leave position (March ****–June **** & August ****–March ****), working 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This role involves helping create an engaging, supportive setting where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
The educator will guide and supervise children aged 2.5 to 5 years, design developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and collaborate closely with the team to enrich the overall program.
Main Duties
Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents
Implementing and knowledge of legislation in relation to welfare of children's health and wellbeing-preschool Regulation ****, Childcare Act ****.
Implement curriculum to support children's learning and development in all domains of well-being (cognitive, physical, social, and emotional)
Create activities that are fun and educational for the children
Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time
Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child
Qualification
Minimum QQ Level 5 or 6 in Early Childhood Education, Level 7 in Early Childhood Education desirable
1+ years' experience working with children in early years setting
Knowledge of Aistear and Siolta Frameworks
Excellent communication
Candidates must provide 2 x written references and copy of qualification certificates at time of interview
Candidate details will be submitted for Garda Vetting.
International Vetting required if candidate has lived outside of the jurisdiction for a period of 3 months or more.
Candidates must hold First Aid and Manual Handling Certificate
Excellent Level of English
