Material Handler – 1st Shift
We are seeking a self-motivated team player to fill a Material Handler position at our facility.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for tracking and storing both inbound material and material going out to the production floor. Your role will be crucial in ensuring efficient inventory management and smooth operations within the warehouse and production areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive and inspect incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and quality of products.
* Properly store and organize materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
* Maintain accurate inventory records, including item descriptions, quantities, and locations.
* Perform regular inventory counts to reconcile physical stock with system records.
* Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory levels or quality.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
* Prepare and package materials for shipment to the production floor, following established procedures.
* Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering of materials when necessary.
* Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize space utilization and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
* Utilize inventory control software and systems to accurately track and manage inventory.
* Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a high standard of warehouse cleanliness and organization.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Reliable transportation.
* Ability to work overtime as needed.
* Experience in material/inventory control or related field, preferably in a warehouse setting.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
* Proficient in using inventory management software and systems.
* Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that may arise.
* Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
