Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned purchasing professional to join our organisation.
* Purchase materials and services based on system requirements and production programme demands.
* Administer all related processes, including purchase orders, subcontract operations, sales orders, and stock adjustments.
* Negotiate with suppliers to establish mutually beneficial commercial agreements.
* Maintain accurate data within the material requirement planning (MRP) system.
* Monitor supplier delivery performance, address discrepancies, and facilitate effective communication.
* Process claims for order quantity, delivery dates, and packaging issues.
* Analyse and optimise purchasing parameters to reduce inventory levels while ensuring part availability.
Key Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in purchasing roles is essential.
* A recognised qualification in a relevant field is mandatory.
* Experience in engineering or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
