Position: Junior Field Based Engineer

General Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Field Engineer who has recently completed their education in a field related to IT, computer sciences, or a similar discipline.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies, work closely with experienced engineers on various projects, and collaborate with different teams within our organisation.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist senior engineers in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure for our clients.
Provide on-site support to clients as needed, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring prompt resolution of technical problems.
Collaborate with project teams to deploy and integrate new technologies, including cloud services, networking equipment, and security solutions.
Participate in the documentation of systems, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices.
Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as system updates, patches, and backups, to ensure the stability and security of client environments.
Assist in the setup and configuration of user accounts, email systems, and other IT services.
Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, communicating technical information effectively and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
IT/Computer Science related college qualification
Strong understanding of IT fundamentals, including networking, operating systems, and hardware components.
Familiarity with common software applications, such as Microsoft Office, antivirus programs, and backup solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Eagerness to learn new technologies and a proactive attitude towards professional development.
Preferred qualifications or experience.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
Previous experience in a customer-facing role or internship in IT support.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, virtualization technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
