Role Profile Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner – Agri, the temporary Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance and strategic decision-making across the business.
Operating within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment, this role requires a high level of commercial acumen, adaptability, and the ability to influence outcomes through insight, and challenge.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to the Agri commercial team, translating financial data into meaningful business intelligence, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting the delivery of business targets.
A strong focus on performance improvement and working capital optimisation is essential.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with commercial stakeholders to influence strategic and operational decisions that drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and overall business performance.
Deliver high-quality financial analysis and insight to challenge and support commercial initiatives, investment decisions, and performance reviews Provide constructive challenge to business cases, forecasts, and assumptions, ensuring decisions are financially sound and aligned with strategic objectives.
Monitor and manage working capital performance, identifying opportunities to improve cash flow and operational efficiency Support the development of business targets and KPIs, track performance against these metrics, and provide recommendations for corrective action where necessary Identify emerging risks and opportunities, and work with the business to develop mitigation strategies or capitalise on growth potential Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for your Commercial categories, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
Provide on-going monitoring and evaluation of actual performance against agreed plans Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis to support commercial decisions Operate effectively in a dynamic environment, responding to change with resilience and maintaining a forward-looking perspective Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting, and insight delivery to enhance decision-making and business agility Provide flexible and responsive financial support on ad hoc projects, analysis, and requests, ensuring timely and high-quality input to meet evolving business needs Requirements Qualified Accountant with 2-4 years post qualification experience in a similar, dynamic environment Good knowledge and experience of SAP accounting environments preferably, together with ability to use and exploit data warehousing tools and Excel Strong communication and influencing skills Collaborative approach to dealing with stakeholders and a desire to win Excellent planning and organisational skills Strong business acumen A growth mindset, combined with adaptability and agility A strong team player Lives the core values of Tirlán We offer Hybrid working (flex Fridays) Free parking incl.
