Company Accountant Cavan (Onsite) An established and growing business based in Cavan is seeking to hire a Company Accountant to take full ownership of the finance function. This is an urgent hire and a key role within the organisation, reporting directly to senior leadership. This position will suit a hands-on accountant who enjoys working in an SME environment and is looking to join a well-run, stable business where they can make a real impact and settle long term. Key Responsibilities Full responsibility for the day-to-day finance function Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports Ownership of month-end processes including journals and reconciliations Management of accounts payable and receivable Processing of payroll and oversight of pensions Preparation and submission of VAT and statutory returns Cashflow management and forecasting Maintenance of financial controls and continuous process improvement Liaising with external accountants, auditors and advisors Supporting senior management with financial insight and decision-making Requirements Qualified, part-qualified or strong QBE accountant Proven experience in a broad, hands-on finance role Experience within SME, construction, engineering or manufacturing environments is an advantage Strong experience across payroll, VAT and management accounts Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Whats on Offer Immediate opportunity within a well-established and reputable business Broad, varied role with full ownership of finance Supportive and stable working environment Opportunity to settle into a long-term position If you are a match to the above role - please apply with your most recent CV to Bernadette Sisson for immediate consideration.
