About D4H: Our software is used in more than 36 countries across 6 continents to help people prepare and respond to emergencies, such as winter storms, floods, oil spills, search and rescue operations, corporate crises, and aviation emergencies. We aim to build impactful software that provides meaningful value to emergency and crisis management professionals. Our mission is to create innovative technologies that reduce loss and suffering caused by emergencies, protecting people, the environment, assets, and reputation worldwide.
We are a fully remote, inclusive team that values developer well-being, creativity, and a sense of belonging. Our product team is led by CTO Mario Casciaro, author of Node.js Design Patterns.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development of our Operations Center product.
* Take ownership of specific areas of the codebase and lead major feature implementations.
* Translate high-level requirements and design documents into actionable tasks.
* Continuously improve the architecture, security, and user experience of the product.
* Participate in discussions regarding new projects and company-wide initiatives.
Requirements
* Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
* Experience with both backend and frontend development.
* Experience developing complex, scalable web applications on the cloud.
* Based in Europe or North America.
Nice-to-Haves
* 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
* Knowledge of React.js and Angular 12+.
* Experience with AngularJS 1.8.x, Ionic framework, No-SQL databases like CouchDB/PouchDB, offline-first applications, and real-time web apps.
