T hrough managing critical pursuits, competitive proposals, and supporting opportunity strategy development, your leadership will directly contribute to the firm's growth and success. In this role you will be at the forefront of engaging with our proposition leaders and client facing partners. You will manage a team and suppliers that support and d e liver the full suite of pursuit services including pursuit strategy development, managing pursuit implementation including deliverables and post pursuit review s.Responsible for:Lead ing the Firm's P ursuit team to deliver on PwC's market strategy you will ensure pursuits are effectively executed and align ed to the F irm's growth strategy .Your team will support across the full range of service lines including tax, assurance and advisory services across m ultiple sectors.Collaborat ing closely with client facing pursuit leaders and account teams you will i dentify and manage 'must-win' critical pursuits that are essential to the firm's success.Oversee the creation of compelling pursuit sales strategies and translate this through from meeting preparation and support documentation to the development and delivery of competitive bid proposals that articulate our value proposition effectively.Conduct post decision reviews and e nsur e learnings are integrated into future pursuits .Use your exposure to the wider Firm pursuits to support BD teams identify opportunities with potential growth .Identify clients rotating under Mandatory Firm Rotation and action channel conversion.Lead, mentor, and develop the Pursuit and Proposal team to build a high-performing unit that delivers differentiated value and an informed perspective to the business .Identification and implementing of new technologies and AI tools to streamline and en a ble efficiencies across the pursuit lifecycle.Engage and build relationships with senior partners, clients, and internal teams to build strong relationships and drive winning pursuit outcomes.Build strong relationships across the wider PwC network of Firms, gathering and implementing global best practices .Develop and manage external stakeholder relationships required for supporting pursuit s ( d esign and creative agencies, content writers, communication coaches, printers ) ensuring the highest quality d eliver ables that are aligned with our brand ing guidelines.Develop and implement training programs to enhance business development skills across the firm.Ensure that all branding guidelines are adhered to within the work of the pursuits department.Experiences and skills:Education / professional qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Project Management, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, etc.) preferred.Professional certifications (e.g., APMP, PMP) are advantageous .ExperienceMinimum 10 years of experience in business development and client engagement within professional services, with a strong focus on strategic growth initiatives. Including 7+ years specialising in pursuit management, proposal development, and strategy to secure high-value opportunities in complex environmentsProven track record of building, managing and maintaining relationships at senior levels internally and externally.Demonstrated success in managing high-value proposals and pursuitsExperience in facilitating business development training and coaching teams.Strong individual sense of initiative, being proactive and effective at driving innovation and best client solutions and communications.Experience of drafting and reviewing impactful, written communications to deliver specific messages within tight deadlines.Experience of powerful storytelling and messaging management to ensure the PwC story is effective in its goals and is linked to client issues .SkillsThe candidate will display as many of the following skills as possible:Leadership and Influence: Strong ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.Project Management: Exceptional project management skills, adept at handling multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.Communication: Outstanding attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft impactful content under pressure.Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of client value propositions and ability to drive commercial success.Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills to foster strong client and partner relationships.Innovation: Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions.Creativity: Skilled in creating a compelling story through visual and design, underpinned by our brand and who we areFlexible and Adaptable: Skilled in navigating changing business environments, reprioritising effectively, embracing new challenges and sustaining performance in dynamic conditionsUnlock your potential with PwC IrelandW e believe that challenges are better solved together We're inspiring and empowering our people to change the world.
