Senior Credit & Collections Specialist
On behalf of our client, Kenny-Whelan is hiring a Senior Credit & Collections Specialist to join a global life sciences company in Cork.
Profile of the Role:
The successful candidate will have a passion for credit control and delivering exceptional customer service, with experience working in a multinational corporation, and knowledge of the order-to-cash process. Strong collections, credit review, or credit risk experience is essential.
IT / Systems:
Experience with Oracle and/or SAP is highly desirable.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Manage a large and growing debtor portfolio, aiming to minimize debt and overall DSO.
* Ensure timely follow-up on due and overdue accounts and payments.
* Issue written correspondence to customers, including reminder letters and monthly statements.
* Determine credit limits based on credit policies, ratings, financials, and payment history, collaborating with Commercial and Finance teams.
* Assess the credit risk of companies by interpreting financial statements and making informed recommendations.
* Liaise with internal finance and commercial colleagues to confirm customer details and overdue payments.
* Handle internal and external queries, support billing issue resolution, and escalate as needed.
* Assist in preparing monthly management reports on DSO, flux, and aging analysis.
* Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
Knowledge and Experience:
* Ability to translate business needs into practical solutions quickly.
* Positive, enthusiastic attitude with flexibility in work approach.
* Effective communication skills within a global team and with partners at all levels.
* Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry within a multinational organization is highly desirable.
Eligibility to Work in Ireland:
This is a contract role requiring a visa, either Stamp 1G or Stamp 4.
