Assistant Manager – Limerick City Centre
Excel Recruitment is excited to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Store Manager for our client's store in Limerick City Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a retail professional to support the Store Manager in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the store while maintaining high standards of customer service, team performance, and operational excellence.
Salary: €40k DOE
Responsibilities:
1. Take an active role in the daily operations of the store, ensuring all areas are running smoothly
2. Assist the Store Manager in leading and motivating a team to meet sales targets and achieve business goals
3. Oversee merchandising and upselling techniques to maximise sales and profitability
4. Ensure the store maintains high standards of customer service, providing a positive shopping experience for all customers
5. Manage inventory and stock control to ensure product availability and accuracy
6. Foster a positive working environment, mentoring and leading by example
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices
Requirements:
8. Previous experience in a convenience store or supermarket management role
9. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
10. Excellent communication and customer service skills
11. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
12. Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required
13. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in a retail environment
