Job Overview
The Role of an Operations Leader is critical in ensuring the Trading Operations Framework adheres to regulatory requirements and maintains efficient operations, resulting in enhanced client experience and protection of client and firm interests.
This position involves overseeing static data management, transaction reporting, and corporate actions outsourced to affiliate entities. Additionally, it entails reconciling settlements with clients and executing brokers, managing breaks in high volume environments, and supporting stakeholder management both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a deep understanding of regulatory obligations and ensure the Trading Operations Framework remains compliant.
* Efficient Operations Management: Oversee the efficient operation of Trading Operations to enhance client experience and safeguard client and firm interests.
* Static Data Management: Manage static data for trading operations, including transaction reporting and corporate actions.
* Settlement Reconciliation: Reconcile settlements with clients and executing brokers, managing breaks in high volume environments.
* Stakeholder Management: Support key stakeholder management both internally and externally.
* Team Leadership: Manage the Trading Operations team, including performance reporting and service level agreements.
* Process Improvement: Support new product initiatives, process automation, and maintain Framework, Policy, and process documentation.
Requirements
* Experience: At least 5 years' experience in Back-office, Reconciliation, and Corporate Action functions working in a high-volume environment for a MiFID Investment firm (ideally retail).
* Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the full equity and CFD trade lifecycle, including settlements, custody, corporate action processing, and taxes.
* Technical Skills: Expert in SQL and/or Python to enhance straight through processing and manage exceptions.
* Risk Management: Experience in implementing risk controls and procedure documentation.
* Skill Set: Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure, self-motivated, proactive attitude, and team player.
* Time Management: Strong time management and error identification skills.
