Project Manager – Major Public Sector Expansion Project in Roscommon.
Salary of €90,000 plus benefits
We’re working with a respected Midlands main contractor to recruit a Project Manager for a large-scale public sector development in Roscommon. This is a complex, high-value project (c. €15m) forming part of a national programme of works to expand and modernise key public infrastructure. The project is due to commence in late 2025 and will involve the construction of new accommodation buildings, extensions to existing facilities, and associated site development works.
About the Role
You’ll take overall responsibility for delivering the project successfully — leading the site team, managing the programme, and ensuring quality, safety, and budget targets are achieved. This role will suit someone who thrives on managing technically demanding projects within live operational environments and enjoys leading from the front.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all stages of the project, from planning and procurement through to completion and handover.
Manage the site team and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
Liaise with design teams, consultants, and client representatives.
Drive safety, quality, and programme performance across the site.
Monitor progress, manage risks, and maintain clear reporting to senior management.
What We’re Looking For
A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years’ experience in project management roles with a main contractor.
Proven experience delivering large-scale public or complex building projects (€10m+).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
A proactive, solution-focused approach and commitment to maintaining high standards.
