Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist
Job Description:
Nua Healthcare Services is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will work with children and adults with diverse needs, providing assessment, intervention, and evaluation of treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of clients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions to promote independence and participation in daily activities.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Consultant Psychiatrists, Behaviour Specialists, Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Social Care Workers, and Assistance Support Workers, to address the complex needs of service users.
* Conduct environmental assessments to ensure accessibility and safety for individuals with sensory and physical support requirements.
* Perform reviews of service users' postural support needs, complete basic and complex seating assessments, and advise on strategies to support sensory processing difficulties.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Hold a Degree/Masters in Occupational Therapy from a 3rd level institution offering a program of study accredited by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
* Be registered with CORU or show proof of pending registration at application stage.
* Post-qualification work experience as an Occupational Therapist within disability services/mental health services.
* Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
* Experience in the implementation of sensory integration approaches with a recognized sensory integration course completed.
