Applications Engineer – Power Controller (PWC) Team
Role Overview
As an Applications Engineer, you will play a key role in product development, customer success, and technical support. You will create reference designs, evaluate new products, develop documentation, and support customers throughout their design cycles.
Description of Job / Duties and Responsibilities
Design, bench test, and debug electronic circuits, providing troubleshooting support throughout the product lifecycle.
Perform debugging and root‑cause analysis for new and existing designs.
Execute thorough new‑product evaluations and test plans.
Support existing products for field application engineers and customers.
Develop user guides, datasheets, application notes, and other reference materials.
Act as a customer advocate within development teams to ensure informed design decisions.
Contribute to test‑automation development to improve efficiency and repeatability.
Experience in the area of Temperature sensing electronics would be an advantage.
Required Skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience with schematic capture, PCB design, and simulation tools.
Hands‑on experience with lab equipment.
Strong teamwork, positive attitude, and proactive approach.
Ability to communicate clearly with applications, marketing, field sales engineers, and customers.
Qualifications
Honours Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Electronic & Computer Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of semiconductor industry experience; Temperature Sensor experience is an advantage.
