The Role – Senior Project Manager
As Senior Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of major engineering and construction projects across Ireland and Europe. You will oversee all aspects of project execution, including site operations, subcontractor coordination, programme delivery, client management, quality assurance, and health & safety performance.
This role suits an experienced construction or engineering professional with a strong background in Data Centre, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, or mission‑critical projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will also play a key role in managing the integration of complex mechanical, electrical, and process systems across large‑scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all construction and project delivery activities across live engineering projects
Coordinate site operations to ensure programme, budget and quality targets are achieved
Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout project delivery
Oversee subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure successful project execution
Ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmental standards across all sites
Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies where required
Conduct regular site inspections and quality reviews to ensure compliance with specifications
Coordinate the integration of mechanical, electrical and process systems across projects
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful commissioning and testing procedures
Prepare project reports, progress updates and commercial documentation for senior management
Maintain strong communication between clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams
Ensure projects achieve required quality standards, certifications and client expectations
Drive programme delivery and resolve technical or operational challenges efficiently
About You
Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
10+ years’ experience managing construction or engineering projects within Data Centres, Industrial, Pharmaceutical or mission‑critical sectors
Strong background in site management, project delivery and contractor coordination
Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams
Excellent knowledge of construction health & safety regulations and quality standards
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and project programmes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong leadership and problem‑solving ability with a proactive approach to project delivery
Experience using project management and construction software such as MS Project or Procore
Ability to manage multiple priorities across fast‑paced engineering projects
Willingness to travel regularly across Ireland and Mainland Europe
