Howden are delighted to have a vacancy as a Claims Manager where a key part of this role will be people management, including managing the reporting lines of the wider claims team members, ensuring all team members have objectives that are aligned to the wider Howden Ireland ambition, managing staff performance against these agreed objectives, and optimising the culture within this claims team.About the Role:As the Manager at Howden, you will also be responsible for driving process improvement within the team, building out a management information suite to be used to drive decision making, and building robust relationships with internal trading teams as well as insurers. They will also be tasked with expanding the remit of the claims team to support other trading teams across the Howden Ireland business.Key Responsibilities:Supervise a team of claims executives and provide guidance and support as needed.Reporting line manager for the Claims team membersPerformance management of claims teamHiring and building out the team to meet business ambitions.Team member training / support / coaching / mentoring.Optimising the culture within the claims teamDrive process improvementBuild a suite of management information to support claims decision makingBuild robust working relationships with key insurersBuild robust working relationships with internal trading teams.
