THE ROLE
Corporate Tax Senior – Balbriggan
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering the firm’s compliance services, including the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns for both small to medium enterprises and large corporate groups.
* Preparation and filing of income tax returns for company directors, professionals, and other high net worth individuals.
* Coordination of VAT returns for Irish and international clients to ensure tax compliance and handling ad hoc queries.
* Maintaining RCT compliance for Irish and international clients involved in the construction sector, including submission of contract and payment notifications to Revenue and advising clients on RCT queries.
* Liaising with Revenue regarding client matters and cooperating with clients to resolve issues.
* Dealing with internal queries from teams such as Insolvency and Corporate Finance regarding tax filings, ROS access, and payments.
* Assisting with due diligence assignments and transactions as appropriate.
* Handling third-party interactions, including local solicitors and company secretarial providers.
* Issuing fees to clients, managing debtors, and work in progress.
Main Tasks
* Corporate and Personal Tax Compliance
* Supporting senior team members in tax planning projects
* Attending client meetings to develop relationships and gain exposure
* Understanding the services offered and identifying areas for firm assistance
* Delegating work to junior colleagues and providing on-the-job training
* Contributing to marketing campaigns, including social media
* Managing tax administrative tasks to ensure compliance
* Identifying process improvements and participating in business enhancements
Experience and Skills Required
* A professional accountancy qualification
* Newly qualified or part-qualified candidates considered
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Experience in a client-facing environment
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
* Self-motivated with the ability to develop ideas into practice
