Role Overview
A mechanical engineer will be responsible for commissioning, qualification and verification of various mechanical systems on a pharmaceutical manufacturing site.
The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge in mechanical engineering and have experience with CQV activities for utility systems.
* Support CQV efforts for heat pump and boiler systems
* Conduct design qualification reviews
* Develop commissioning protocols and execute them
* Verify the mechanical installation
* Perform system walkdowns and resolve punch lists
* Review and approve P&IDs, datasheets, isometrics, and turnover packages
* Oversee vendor equipment delivery, installation and field verification
* Interface with building management systems (BMS/EMS) for control and monitoring setup
Key Responsibilities:
System Implementation
* Liaise with project teams, contractors, vendors, validation, and QA
* Support tie-in and integration planning with existing utility networks
Requirements
This role requires:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* 5+ years of experience in mechanical systems implementation on pharmaceutical/biotech facilities
* Strong understanding of GMPs, GEP
* Familiarity with ASME B31.3, PED, and relevant mechanical/utilities standards
