We partner with sister agencies, airlines, ferry companies, accommodation providers, visitor attractions and others to grow the value of tourism, and to provide visitors with an inspiring and unique experience. Set up under the auspices of the Good Friday Agreement, Tourism Ireland plays an important role as a North South body for a key industry on the island of Ireland, serving both Northern Ireland and Ireland.

Role

We are looking for a dynamic, results driven B2B executive who will thrive by:

* Managing and coordinating all pan-market activities in the luxury area for Tourism Ireland. This will involve engagement with a range of stakeholders including Tourism Ireland colleagues, overseas tour operators, island of Ireland industry, sister agencies (Failte Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland) and others.
* Working with Tourism Ireland teams in our global network of office to maximise the opportunities for island of Ireland industry to close sales with overseas buyers in the luxury sector. You will support TI market teams to plan and implement an aligned programme of B2B industry engagements and luxury partnerships overseas in line with Tourism Ireland's strategic objectives

Note: This role could involve some travel and work outside normal business hours and will be filled in line with Public Pay Policy at Point 1 of the relevant Salary Scale unless the successful candidate is appointed from an existing public sector role.

Key Results Area

1. Maximise the number of opportunities for island of Ireland Luxury industry to contract with buyers i.e. sales facilitation.
2. Lead on Luxury strategy for Tourism Ireland and ensure implementation of Luxury plans are aligned to corporate objectives delivering on ambitious targets for this area.
3. Own and activate all pan-market luxury plans and act as a point of reference for all luxury activities ensuring these are aligned to corporate objectives. Support in-market activity working closely with Tourism Ireland market teams as appropriate.
4. Own, manage delivery and attend our pan-market luxury B2B events and platforms including our flag-ship event (ILTM) to generate contacts and mine for leads. Support individual market luxury events.
5. Pro-active key account management of pan-market operators in Luxury area via the CRM ensuring pipeline of contacts is constantly 'fed' from all sources including TI market offices – pipeline should be dynamic with contacts being worked through from initial contact to full engagement with island of Ireland industry.
6. Develop regular communications framework protocols to colleagues and key accounts and ensure alignment of communications across the organisation e.g. monthly ezines, product updates, presentations to clients, meetings etc.
7. Ensure knowledge share on best practise across markets and advise markets on best practice in developing custom experiential networking events/in market for Luxury buyers.
8. Identify new pan-market publicity opportunities with select upscale luxury travel and lifestyle media outlets and share content for individual market publicity outreach.
9. Management and development of 'Where Luxury Comes Naturally' brand – including content development and creation of branded collateral.
10. Manage budgets effectively to deliver on agreed objectives.
11. The Pan-market Luxury Executive also represents Tourism Ireland at various industry, press and corporate functions and events.
12. Such other duties, including supporting the Business Events team, as the company may from time to time reasonably require.

The Person

The successful candidate will possess the following experience, knowledge and skills competencies and qualifications

Essential

* This is a strongly commercially focused role and will require clear experience in B2B sales preferably in the tourism sector. While you will not be 'closing' the sale directly, the role requires working with buyers to bring them down the sales funnel/pipeline and facilitate the sale with island of Ireland suppliers.
* In-depth knowledge of the travel trade landscape and relevant key account management and B2B sales experience in this environment. Direct experience with the luxury travel trade is preferred.
* Good working experience and knowledge of business development and key account
* management. A record of achievement in working and building relationships with key
* partners.
* Proven event management experience with strong organisational and presentation skills.
* Strong IT skills including MS Office, Internet, CMS tools and email tools.
* A good team player with strong interpersonal skills, a proven ability to work as part of a
* small team and to build and manage effective relationships with colleagues and
* stakeholders.
* A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a busy, ever-changing environment.

Desirable

* Educated to degree level with a qualification in sales / communications / marketing or any other relevant discipline.
* Strong experience and demonstrable record of achievement in a sales role in the luxury area.
* Knowledge of the island of Ireland tourism product.
