Role: Quality Technician – Galway/Northwest Region
Reporting to: Regional Quality Supervisor
Roadstone Ltd. invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Quality Technician in Galway. The appointed person will be responsible for reporting results from laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to support current business, aid technical investigations and drive performance targets.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
Perform all tasks following strict methodologies.
Material sampling from our locations, customer sites and manufacturing processes.
· Communicating with Managers, Production and Commercial personnel regarding current challenges, to develop solutions with them.
Liaising with Technical Managers on products, process performance and sustainability.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Keeping accurate records, updating and adherence to relevant database, Quality systems and maintaining QC equipment.
Conducting site visits to carry out investigations and address complaints.
Supervision of concrete pours.
Additional duties as required.
About The Role
Key Skills.
Relevant third level qualification would be an advantage.
1-2 years relevant experience in a laboratory or construction industry preferable, however training will be provided.
Competent record keeping skills and attention to detail.
High level of computer literacy and good communication skills.
Report writing skills and ability to work in a team.
While Galway will be the base location, candidates are expected to have the flexibility to operate in any location, when required.
The successful candidate must be a highly motivated, self-directed individual with a desire for personal, Company and Group achievement.
