Our client is one of Ireland's leading Building Contractors with a number of commerical and residential buildings projects in Dublin City Centre and have an immediate requirement for an experienced site manager
We are seeking an experienced and pro-active Health & Safety Officer to lead the development and implementation of a professional, competent, and collaborative safety culture across our organisation.
This role is critical to ensuring best-in-class environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices are consistently planned, executed, and maintained across all construction projects.
You will have proven experience in construction in Ireland and a strong ability to engage with contractors and project teams to manage and mitigate health and safety risks.
Strategic & Compliance: ISO 45001, Safet-T-Cert, legislation updates.
Operational Oversight: Site inspections, audits, documentation.
Training & Engagement: Inductions, CPD, subcontractor reviews.
Reporting & Communication: Safety data, incident investigations.
Collaborate with senior management to promote a positive health & safety culture across the business.
Support and empower Site Managers and Supervisors to actively participate in audits and H&S systems.
Track and report site hazards using the company's online safety management system.
Develop and implement Construction Stage Plans, Traffic Management Plans, Waste Management Plans.
Review and update Risk Assessments, Method Statements, SOPs, H&S Policies, Safety Statements.
Provide proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement in EHS management.
Maintain strong positive working relationships across the company and external stakeholders.
Office and site based Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm (Friday 4pm).
Remote working/work from home is not available.
Requirements
Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in construction health & safety in Ireland.
Membership of IOSH or similar body (advantageous)
Technical Knowledge: Irish H&S regulations, ISO standards, Safe-T-Cert
Digital Skills: MS Office, M365 Copilot, mobile platforms. Procore software advantageous.
Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-orientated, time management, strong communicator.
Proven ability to drive change, influence behaviours and champion best practices.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, fluent English, excellent written skills
Other: Full clean driving licence (essential).
