Learning and Development Manager 2 Months FTC, Dublin
Our public sector client is seeking a Learning and Development Manager for a fixed-term position of two months.
We are looking for a Learning & Development Manager to oversee the transactional aspects of our L&D programmes and initiatives. The role involves designing, procuring, delivering, and evaluating training programmes, as well as managing L&D administration to ensure alignment with corporate strategies and objectives. The successful candidate will provide managerial support across the organisation, working closely with senior managers and staff to meet corporate goals.
This position is hybrid, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with divisional directors to ensure L&D programmes meet business needs, advising on role-specific training requirements and supporting workforce planning.
* Manage two members of the L&D team.
* Track and report on L&D Key Performance Indicators and metrics.
* Oversee all L&D administration, including training records, financial reporting, purchase orders, and report preparation.
* Analyze L&D records to identify training needs and develop solutions.
* Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to deliver and evaluate training solutions.
* Manage the request for tender process for organisational training requirements.
* Oversee the L&D budget and contracts.
* Assist with the transition to a Learning Management System (LMS).
* Minimum of a Level 7 qualification in Human Resources, Learning & Development, or a related discipline.
* At least 2 years of management experience in L&D, focusing on coordination and administration.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in public sector procurement for L&D services.
* Familiarity with IT solutions related to L&D and LMS.
* Experience delivering and facilitating training, including large-scale programmes.
* Experience working with state or national organisations in the L&D field (e.g., QQI).
* Ability to build and maintain networks of L&D stakeholders and advise on training requirements.
