Procurement Specialist Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Materials and Planning Team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient planning, procurement, and management of materials to support production and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze demand forecasts and inventory levels to determine material requirements.
* Create and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
* Coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
* Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory to meet production needs.
* Identify excess or obsolete inventory and recommend actions to reduce waste.
* Collaborate with production teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules.
* Adjust plans based on changes in demand, supply disruptions, or production delays.
* Use ERP systems and Excel to analyze supply chain data.
* Prepare reports on material usage, supplier performance, and inventory metrics.
* Identify inefficiencies in planning or procurement processes.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
* Proven experience in procurement and inventory management.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
