About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Financial Controller who thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of the company’s financial management and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all regions.
You will oversee management accounts, payroll, banking reconciliations, and bookkeeping, while supporting strategic financial planning and international operations. This role requires both operational expertise and strategic insight — ideal for someone eager to grow with a scaling tech business.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts with clear analysis and commentary for leadership.
* Oversee general bookkeeping, ensuring timely and accurate recording of all transactions.
* Manage payroll across multiple regions (Ireland, US, France), ensuring compliance and efficiency.
* Conduct bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and manage multi‑currency accounts.
* Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and investor reports.
* Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and advisors in different jurisdictions.
* Ensure compliance with local tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
* Assist with financial system improvements and automation as the company scales.
* Provide financial insight to leadership to support strategic decision‑making.
* Manage the office and all the administration process to support the COO.
Key Requirements
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role in Ireland, ideally within a tech or SaaS environment.
* Minimum 2 years’ managing Irish accounting for a company.
* Experience with management accounts, payroll, bank reconciliations, and bookkeeping is essential.
* Ideally part‑qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
* Experience working with multi‑entity or multi‑currency operations.
* Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and problem‑solving ability.
* A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach — comfortable in a small, fast‑moving team.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively across international teams.
