Functional Purpose
The Head of Finance & IT is responsible for leading Hygeia's financial management and technology enablement functions. This role ensures sound financial reporting, compliance, and strategic insight, while building IT systems architecture and infrastructure to support scalable operations.
The function exists to provide leadership in budgeting, forecasting, governance, internal & external stakeholder management and system development — enabling data-driven decision-making, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & Governance
· Lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes
· Ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and risk management
· Evolve Board reporting to enable strategic financial conversations
· Present financial insights to the Board, CEO, and functional leaders
· Lead in capital raise from external stakeholders from government funds, to pillar banks to external capital investors
IT Capability Development
· Build core IT infrastructure to support future business growth
· Drive ERP (SAP) optimisation and key system improvements
· Lead data governance, multi-system integration, and cybersecurity posture
· Support digital transformation initiatives and automation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Partner with Operations and Commercial teams for finance and IT support
· Provide leadership in feasibility studies of projects including R&D, Regulatory and internal Capital Investments
· Assist with M&A due diligence, integration, and investment planning
· Drive continuous improvement in finance and IT processes, procedures and controls

· Strong analytical and decision-support capabilities

Financial Expertise
· Deep knowledge of budgeting, reporting, compliance, and audit
· Skilled in Board-level financial communication and insights delivery
IT Knowledge & Leadership
· Familiar with ERP systems (especially SAP) and IT architecture
· Able to lead IT roadmap design, systems improvement, and vendor engagement
Collaboration & Communication
· Effective communicator with senior stakeholders
· Strong working relationships across Finance, IT, and Operations functions

The job will be based on-site at Oranmore, County Galway.
