Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

* We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented professional to manage the operational, financial, and administrative functions of our firm.
* This is a fully onsite role, ideal for a professional with strong financial acumen and proven leadership in office management.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
* Full responsibility for day-to-day accounts management.
* Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Liaise with the firm's accountant and book-keeper.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate firm accounts.
* Perform all bank and other reconciliations.
* Manage credit control processes.
* Conduct significant data entry with a focus on speed and accuracy.
Operational Leadership:
* Conduct regular meetings with fee earners to review WIP and targets.
* Prepare monthly forecasts and cash flow analysis for partners.
* Calculate annual bonuses for fee earners.
Human Resources & Staff Management:
* Supervise and support secretarial and administrative staff.
* Oversight of recruitment, training, and induction processes.
* Manage staff resourcing and holiday/sick leave records.
Facilities & IT:
* Ensure appropriate office facilities and equipment are in place.
* Liaise with service providers and manage maintenance contracts.
* Oversight of IT infrastructure, website content, and case management systems.
Communications & Marketing:
* Maintain internal communication processes and document security.
* Manage the firm's website and online presence.
* Coordinate social events and external communications.
The Ideal Candidate:
Candidate Requirements:
* Holds an accounting qualification with at least 3 years experience in a dual finance and operations role.
* Experience in a legal practice is desirable but not essential.
* Demonstrated staff management experience.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with case management systems.
* Discreet, professional, and capable of working on their own initiative.
