Maintenance Engineer

PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

The Maintenance Engineer is a senior role with proven expertise in the maintenance and repair of production machinery. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, as well as plant equipment and factory fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform planned preventative maintenance in line with schedules.
· Respond quickly and effectively to emergency breakdowns, both during regular shifts and when on call.
· Investigate equipment faults and breakdowns, carry out necessary repairs, and monitor performance after completion.
· Ensure minimal production downtime, attending to breakdowns urgently as they occur.
· Install, validate, and maintain new equipment as required.
· Order, manage, and track spare parts requirements.
· Work closely with production and technical teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with BRC accreditation standards.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities.
· Maintain a strong focus on health and safety requirements in all activities.
Essential Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years experience in a food manufacturing environment / maintenance role
· Must be available for on-call duty every second week.
· Preference for candidates with electrician qualifications or strong electrical fault- finding experience.
· Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
Skills:
· Strong leadership skills.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Proficiency in production/maintenance planning and industrial controls.
· Good communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Pay: €50,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
