General Counsel – International (UK & Ireland/International) - High-Growth Financial Services - Dublin (Hybrid)
Conekt Legal is working in close partnership with an ambitious, product-driven financial services business as it enters its next phase of international growth. They are now looking to appoint a General Counsel to take ownership of legal and regulatory strategy across the UK & Ireland and international jurisdictions.
This is a pivotal, executive-level appointment, reporting directly to the International CEO and sitting at the heart of strategic decision-making.
This role would suit an ambitious and driven, commercially minded senior in-house lawyer keen to work in a fast paced and high growth business.

You’ll collaborate across compliance, product, finance, HR, and group functions, while also managing key external relationships.
What you’ll be responsible for;
Setting and leading the legal and regulatory agenda across multiple jurisdictions
Acting as a strategic advisor to the executive team and Board
Guiding the business through regulatory complexity with clear, commercial advice
Supporting the development and launch of financial products, particularly within consumer finance / instalment lending
Advising on go-to-market models, partnerships, and distribution strategies
Playing a central role in high-value commercial negotiations and partnerships
Overseeing data protection strategy and risk management
Ensuring strong governance frameworks that support a scaling business
Acting as a key connector across legal, compliance, and wider business teams
What they’re looking for;
A senior, qualified lawyer (NI, England & Wales and/or Ireland)
Proven experience operating at, or ready to step into General Counsel level
Strong grounding in financial services regulation (consumer credit experience is a significant advantage)
Experience working closely with product and commercial teams
A track record of operating effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments
A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with strong commercial instinct
Confidence and credibility to operate at executive and Board level
