Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Contracts Manager reports to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager and performs duties as described in the CAME.
Responsible for ensuring line maintenance is contracted to a suitably approved maintenance organisation.
Responsible for ensuring aircraft, engine(s), propeller(s) and components are taken to an appropriately approved Part 145 maintenance organisation whenever necessary.
Order maintenance, supervise activities and coordinate related decisions to ensure that any maintenance and defect rectification is carried out properly and is appropriately released for the determination of aircraft airworthiness.
Maintenance invoice review and approval.
Conduct competence assessment of maintenance management staff within the department as required by CAMO.A.305.
Oversee staff activities and methods for interface with contracting organisations providing line & base maintenance support.
Administration and discipline of all staff under control, including selection, training, recruitment and dismissal.
Ensure corrective action resulting from compliance monitoring is carried out within prescribed timescales.
Interface with the relevant contracting organisation in matters concerning scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Provide routine reports in respect of such activities for review by the CAM and, where appropriate, the Compliance Manager.
Undertake additional duties as may reasonably be requested by the CAM.
Delegate some tasks to a Maintenance Check Representative where appropriate.
Report maintenance errors that could endanger safe operation in the safety reporting system.
Maintain competence through continued education and training in the area of responsibility.
Qualifications & Experience
Completed recognised Aircraft Maintenance Training course and hold appropriate qualification in aircraft engineering such as Part 66 B1.1 or 2 license or aeronautical engineering degree.
Minimum of 8 years post apprenticeship experience with at least 2 years supervisory.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU.
