Job Title: Cardiac Physiologist
Cork's leading hospital is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Physiologist to join its team. As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic testing and interventional procedures in the Heart and Vascular department.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate timely diagnosis and effective patient management. This includes performing a wide range of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, such as ECG recording and analysis, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including ECG recording and analysis, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing.
* Assist in the performance of echocardiograms, adhering to departmental protocols and supporting accredited physiologists in line with BSE or EACVI guidelines.
* Manage assigned caseloads in a timely and organized manner, maintaining a strong focus on clinical excellence, patient safety, and quality of care.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including Cardiologists, Nurses, and other Allied Health Professionals, to facilitate timely diagnosis and effective patient management.
* Participate in ongoing training and supervision, both receiving and providing guidance to junior staff and students as appropriate.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Clinical Measurement Science, Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT)
* Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology (IICMP)
* Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology (if qualified in or prior to 2005)
