Role Overview
We are seeking an
Experienced Environmental Technician
with a minimum of three years' relevant experience to join our Environmental Monitoring Team. This position offers a blend of fieldwork, technical reporting, and hands-on equipment management.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct water, noise, and dust monitoring
* Carry out site investigations
* Operate and maintain environmental sampling equipment
* Prepare high-quality compliance reports
* Work safely and responsibly at all times
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail
* Manage workload efficiently and independently
* Apply strong IT and data-handling skills
* Collaborate effectively as part of the monitoring team
* Enjoy field-based work across varied environments
Location & Work Conditions
Our office is based in
Castlerea, Co. Roscommon

Fieldwork is required, and remote working options are available for report writing and administrative tasks.
Skills & Competencies
* Recognised professional qualification in a relevant discipline
* Ability to support smooth and efficient department operations
* Flexibility to adapt to varied sites, schedules, and environments
* Strong knowledge of monitoring equipment, techniques, and regulations
* Proven ability to produce and review accurate, high-quality documentation
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Full, clean Irish driving licence (or equivalent)
Minimum Qualifications
Level 7 Environmental Science (or similar)
, or equivalent relevant experience
Desirable
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Health & Safety training, Emergency First Aid, and Safe Pass
* (Training can be provided)
