Overview
The UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic is a world-class international sports surgery and sports medicine hospital offering cutting-edge diagnosis, surgery, rehabilitation and performance testing for all, from recreational to international athletes as inpatients and outpatients. We are looking to recruit a Strength & Conditioning Coach to work in our Sports Medicine department.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver the UPMC SSC Strength and Conditioning services, including testing, providing feedback and rehabilitation to a wide range of patients with various injuries.
* Develop and upskill in biomechanics, performance testing and rehabilitation within a fast-paced, supportive environment.
* Support on-site rehabilitation and testing as part of the Sports Medicine Department.
* Collaborate with sports medicine consultants, physiotherapists, biomechanists and other coaches to serve inpatients, outpatients, elite teams and international clients.
Broader Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Strength and Conditioning services to patients referred by UPMC SSC and direct referrals for 1-on-1 training.
* Deliver the back-pain programme and other group training as required.
* Conduct physiological testing as part of the fitness lab and run lab services.
* Maintain appropriate records and electronic patient records; uphold evidence-based practice.
* Contribute to ongoing protocols and standardisation of service; attend CPD sessions and participate in the department's education programme.
* Prepare clinically relevant scientific poster presentations; assist in research programmes as necessary.
* Attend weekly Clinical meetings and provide cover for other Strength and Conditioning coaches as required.
* Other duties as directed by the Head of S&C.

Qualifications & Experience
* Essential
* MSc in sport science or similar
* Demonstrable experience in an interdisciplinary setting
* Experience working in team/group settings
* Experience working with athletes undergoing rehabilitation from injury
* Experience working with the general population
* UKSCA accreditation or ability to obtain within 12 months
* Desirable
* Experience in run technique coaching
* Experience in jump and strength profiling
