Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled occupational therapist to join our hand therapy team. As a senior grade occupational therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the department.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in hand therapy and rheumatology.
* About This Role:
* Provide assessment and treatment plans for patients with hand injuries or conditions
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
* Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines
* Supervise and mentor junior occupational therapists
* Participate in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessment and Treatment:
* Assess and treat patients with hand injuries or conditions
* Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
* Conduct group and individual therapy sessions as required
* Document patient progress and outcomes
* Quality Improvement:
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
* BSc (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent recognised and validated qualification in Occupational Therapy
* CORU registration
* Hand Therapy experience in Rheumatology, Plastics, and Orthopaedics for Adults
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Interdisciplinary team working
* Proven clinical and organisational skills
* Commitment to continuous professional development
Desirable Requirements:
* Membership of Association of Occupational Therapists Ireland or equivalent occupational therapy professional body
* Hand therapy CPD/Hand Therapy qualifications
