Role: Senior Accountant Reporting to:Finance Manager and CFO Summary of Role and Responsibilities The Good Shepherd Centre and its sister organisation Kilkenny Voluntary Housing Association, are seeking to hire a Senior Accountant as a key part of the Finance function for the organisations.
Candidate will have a close working relationship with the leadership team, and will be expected to provide them with key information and reports Position: Senior Accountant The role will involve: Preparation of financial reports including KPI reports Managing Funding applications and reporting to funding agencies Involvement in of all aspects of the finance function, Payroll, bank and cash, and AP/AR functions, Ongoing development and monitoring of accounting, controls and policies Managing Bank and overseeing cashflow Preparation of year end accounts and liaising with company auditors Assisting with systems improvements and upgrades ( Sage, Payroll, etc ) Candidate Profile Role will suit a candidate with at least 3 years post qualification experience or with 5 years suitable finance experience.
Will suit a pro-active candidate who is comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business.
Candidate should have excellent IT and inter-personal skills and a pro-active can do attitude.
Working experience within the Not for Profit or Charity sector a distinct advantage.
Terms A Specified purpose contract A six-month probationary period will apply.

Occasional work outside normal office hours.
Based in Kilkenny city-centre office.
39 hours per week, with flexible working opportunities.
