This is a great opportunity to make an impact on our IT Transformation journey, where you will work in a multi-vendor environment with a new team and a platform built from scratch using native technologies!
The Cloud Platform Architect will support the CCoE Customers by developing solutions and features in our Cloud Platforms. You will ensure that DevOps teams using the platform will benefit from already built solutions and patterns accelerating delivery and ensuring compliance and security.
This a key role in bringing new solutions to enhance the business-as-usual (BAU) day to day and ensure automation is adopted by design.
In this Role, you will
* Design of new features in the bank's Public Cloud Platforms aligned to Business requirements feeding it to the sprints execute by the CCoE Cloud Engineering team
* Pursue improvements in the platform related to compliance, security and operations excellence via automation.
* Refine requirements ensuring the built solution will be aligned to business and customer's needs.
* Guide BUs and other areas on the best use of the CCoE Supported Cloud Platforms
* Guide Partners on the solution implementation once designed.
* Represent for the solution in the needed forums for approval (Architecture and Security for instance).
* Assess of opportunities for Cloud adoption working together with BUs, Group IT colleagues and partners in order to create business cases for adoption.
* Drive Cloud adoption by working together with Group Architecture, Security and other IT and IO's areas seeking new opportunities and areas of improvement.
* Constantly review the Bank's Public Cloud Platform looking for innovation and cost optimisation - new technologies, new design trends and ways of working.
* Support the Cloud Design Authority in the technical space, providing recommendations and guidance to projects/internal Customers on how to best use the Cloud
* Work together with the other Bank's areas in order to ensure security by design is adopted and all the guardrails suitable for both security and user needs.
* Create and document repeatable patterns to accelerate cloud adoption and reduce overhead for platform customers
What Will Make You Stand Out
You have 5+ years experience in Cloud Services and architecture with significant experience of cloud technologies especially AWS and Microsoft Azure. You are a subject matter expert on areas relating to customer applications and services (e.g., AI/Machine Learning, Containers, Security, Big Data etc.).
You have the ability to understand and input to the roadmap, support scalability, optimisation with an understanding of commercial imperatives and impacts. You are a strong communicator at all levels of the organisation and have experience managing third parties / multiple vendors. You understand risk and the operations in a regulatory sector. You display a product mind-set and thinking about how projects consume these services
Technical Skills Required:
* Strong DevSecOps experience
* AWS and Azure full stack exposure
* CI / CD and automatization pipelines
* Problem / Incident management experience (ITIL)
* Pro-active issue resolution and diagnostics
Desirable Skills:
* Cloud related qualifications such as AWS/ Azure technologies.
* Project management certification PRINCE 2 / PMI or equivalent desirable
* Six Sigma or equivalent an advantage
Essential Quaifications
* Cloud technologies certifications; ideally to Solution Architect Level

The Cloud Centre of Excellence has the mission to enable Cloud and to act as a trusted advisor for the Cloud Adoption in the Bank which is a foundation for Digital Transformation
