Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operator to join our team here in Shannon The qualified candidate is responsible for day‑to‑day receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and fulfilling orders from stock, packing and shipping domestic and international orders with all shipping methods HID currently uses or might use in the future.
You will act as the primary contact for all shipping and receiving activities across departments, while also carrying out any additional procedures necessary to support the achievement of operational KPIs.
Responsibilities
* Must comply with SOPs and work instructions related to job function.
* Will be held accountable to performance standards to ensure output positively contributes to area specific KPIs (Accuracy, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).
* Main point of contact for shipping inquiries for internal customers.
* Works collaboratively with peers and internal customers.
* Contributes to the culture of continuous improvement by looking for and communicating opportunities to improve performance.
* Proactively logs and escalates potential issues in order to minimize safety, quality, delivery issues and/or operational inefficiencies.
* Participates in root cause, corrective/preventive action activities as required.
* Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
* Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying the correct parts, quantities and serial numbers that customers request.
* Loads and unloads delivery trucks and ensures that each incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.
* Assists in reviewing pick sheets based on customer orders and then pulling the right products for each order.
* Moves freight and stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas either manually or using equipment such as forklifts.
* Ensures the highest levels of accuracy in Oracle and shipping software transactions.
Qualifications
* Must have a minimum of one year manufacturing experience.
* Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent.
* Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
* Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
* Familiarity with MS Office applications such as Word and Excel is preferred.
* Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows.
Work Environment
* Employee works primarily in a manufacturing/warehouse environment, within a well ventilated area, and is exposed to moderate noise levels.
* Must be able to work sitting down and/or standing up for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to bend, squat, and reach to perform above duties.
* Must be able to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.
* Must be able to distinguish colors.
* Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
* Must be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
