HPLC QC Analyst - Dun Laoghaire, Dublin Office/Project Location: Dun Laoghaire, Dublin Employment Type: Contract Work Location: Site Based Pay: €30 - €35 per hour Experience: 3+ years Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required Our client is a leading international Biotechnology company with a state of the art aseptic manufacturing facility in Dun Laoighaire, South Dublin.
The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment.
This is an excellent opportunity to get experience into Ireland's leading aseptic manufacturing plant.
Testing of in process, stability and finished product samples.
eg HPLC, CE, SDS-PAGE, IEF analytical testing, characterization and sample and data management.
Review and authorisation of Lab Data Support Analytical Technical Transfer activity testing reports and documentation.
Document review/updates when required.
Equipment Calibration, Maintenance and Trouble Shooting.
Method Validation/Verification.
Training of QC Chemistry Laboratory colleagues.
Laboratory Investigation support Laboratory Housekeeping and maintaining GMP standards.
Assisting in regulatory audits.
Requirements Hold a third level qualification (Degree/Diploma) in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology Biotechnology or similar Scientific Subject.
Have at least 5 years relevant experience in a pharmaceutical/healthcare environment (this is more 3 to 5 year's experience) Experienced in executing HPLC GMP lab experience Advantageous if they have software experience in LIMS/LMES and Empower as this is used for execution of the HPLC.
Be very proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
Have strong technical writing skills.
Be detail oriented, self motivated with good troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
Be a self starter and capable of working on own initiative.
Strong team work skills.
Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, CE, SDS-PAGE, IEF testing would also be advantageous Your ability to demonstrate how you deal with high volume, pressurised environment, and how you map out the schedule that's set for you– these are the kind of questions to expect in the interview.
Package Contract role - Hourly rate €30 - €35 per hour Minimum 12 month contract Onsite Expectations: 5 days a week with core hours from 08:30 to 17:00.
In terms of having the ability to work from home, this is considered an exception within the team and is reserved for those who are very experienced.
If down the line you are allowed to work from home, this would be for an activity such as data review, as this is a lab-based position to test products.
