This role offers the chance to manage a dynamic team, oversee complex corporate transactions, and deliver exceptional corporate secretarial services to a portfolio of clients.
The successful candidate will lead on corporate compliance, governance, and transactional projects while contributing to business development and departmental growth.
This is a highly visible role with exposure to global clients and cross-departmental initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
Corporate Secretarial Services
Provide top-class corporate secretarial support to a portfolio of corporate clients
Support the global network in delivering company secretarial services to international clients
Lead corporate transactions, including group restructuring, domestic mergers, share capital restructuring, redemptions, growth shares, dividend access shares, and share capital reductions
Provide board support for directors' and shareholder meetings
Ensure corporate governance compliance for corporate clients
Correspond with Companies Registration Office and clients regarding corporate filings
Team Leadership & Management
Supervise, mentor, and develop trainee team members
Lead projects and collaborate with managers, directors, and partners across departments
Support smooth department operations, including billing, risk management, transformation, and recruitment
Drive department growth and contribute to winning new business opportunities
Business Development & Client Management
Attend client meetings and maintain strong client relationships
Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and generate business growth
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and corporate governance developments
Operational Excellence
Work independently on projects with excellent time management
Apply strong analytical, logical thinking, and project management skills
Leverage IT skills, including MS Office and corporate secretarial software (e.g., Relate Company Secretary – desirable but not essential)
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
CGI (Corporate Governance Institute) qualified with significant post-qualification experience
Proven record of commitment to professional and client service excellence
Strong corporate secretarial technical knowledge
Technical Skills
Commercial awareness and strong business development capability
Excellent IT and MS Office skills
Experience in company secretarial software advantageous (e.g., Relate Company Secretary)
