Position: Process Engineer (Contract)Location: Carlow, IrelandContract fully OnsitePay Rate: €26–€40 per hourOverview:We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Process Engineer to join our Process Engineering Group at our Carlow site. This is a contract role reporting to the Technical Engineering Manager.The successful candidate will provide technical support for new product introductions (NPI) and commercial manufacturing. You will work on cross-functional teams, liaising with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and above-site groups as required. While prior experience in GMP manufacturing is preferred, applicants with relevant technology transfer experience from other industries will also be considered.What You Will Do:Bring energy, innovation, and technical expertise to:Design, author, review, approve, and execute qualification/validation documentation and process development studies in line with standard approval processes.Design, author, review, approve, and execute change controls.Contribute to Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.Provide technical input into quality notifications by authoring, reviewing, and approving investigations.Execute equipment qualification and validation programs, including re-qualification and re-validation.Support continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.Perform root cause analysis of system failures and substandard performance, using standard tools to resolve machine and system issues.Represent technical operations in internal and global technical forums.Ensure compliance with global policies, procedures, guidelines, regulatory requirements, and cGMP practices in day-to-day activities.Collaborate to maintain a safe and compliant culture on site.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills & Requirements:Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Science, Engineering, or other technical discipline preferred.Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in manufacturing; GMP experience preferred.Demonstrated experience leading technical projects.Continuous professional development is desirable.Knowledge of process monitoring systems, automation (DeltaV), and operational intelligence/data systems (PI System) is beneficial but not mandatory.Knowledge of regulatory and code requirements (Irish, European, International).Strong report writing, documentation, and policy development skills.Experience in equipment and process validation.Knowledge of sterile filling processes and equipment is advantageous.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related applications.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.Hybrid work model possible after training; occasional shift support may be required.Visa Requirement:Only candidates with a valid visa/permit to work in Ireland will be considered by the client.
