Job Summary
The primary objective is to provide technical support for both new and existing manufacturing equipment with a strong emphasis on automation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Documentation: Generating detailed specifications, design, development, and testing documentation for new equipment and automated systems.
2. System Knowledge: Developing and applying expertise in various automation systems including PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, vision systems, robotics, PC software, and databases.
3. Troubleshooting: Analyzing, understanding, and fault-finding complex automated equipment.
4. Code Management: Developing, testing, and installing code changes to existing equipment under strict change control procedures, maintaining comprehensive documentation to medical device standards.
5. Project Management: Actively participating in cross-functional teams to ensure projects including new product introductions and equipment upgrades are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
6. Optimization: Identifying and implementing equipment and system upgrades as part of continuous improvement programs using metrics like Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to drive optimum performance.
7. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with EHS standards and all quality system requirements including GMP, FDA, and TUV.
