MPG Recruitment is delighted to partner with a well‑established Irish company seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to provide high‑quality technical support and help optimise customer IT infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments.
Role Overview
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional who thrives in a hands‑on, client‑focused environment and enjoys supporting both traditional and cloud‑based systems.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver top‑tier phone, email, remote, and occasional onsite support, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues
Troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, firewalls, and security systems)
Support and manage Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
Maintain hybrid and cloud‑first infrastructure, including backups, disaster recovery, and security solutions
Perform root‑cause analysis, take ownership of issues, and follow through to resolution
Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with clients
Skills & Experience
2–3+ years’ experience in a technical or IT support role (Level 2 preferred)
Strong understanding of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, and network fundamentals
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or within a team
Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent) is an advantage
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
