Job Opportunity: Senior Finance Business Partner
The role of Senior Finance Business Partner is a critical position within our organization. It involves driving commercial finance and business partnering activities across multiple business divisions.
This role requires an individual who can drive strategic capital allocation and financial performance, partner with senior leadership to lead budgeting, forecasting, investment governance, and cost efficiency programs.
* Lead a high-performing team to deliver commercial insights and financial control while enhancing business accountability and process excellence.
* Perform performance monitoring, reviewing business cases and requests for capital investment, supporting the business in obtaining resources for purchasing and initiating efficiency programs to improve operational intensity.
* Serve as a key financial business partner to directors and senior managers within the group.
* Collaborate with other finance functions including the head office Shared Services Centre to ensure that finance processes and ways of working are adhered to and operating effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading a team of finance business partners and graduates to drive performance and deliver finance priorities across a number of business divisions.
2. Working closely with and influencing senior management to help drive business performance – helping to ensure high-quality financial decisions are made.
3. Providing objective financial advice and opinions that positively impact future business decisions.
4. Identifying and driving financial efficiency with wholesale and shared services leadership teams, ensuring resources are allocated effectively with a focus on cost control and value-for-money.
5. Providing objective challenge regarding spend plans and proactively seeking opportunities to deliver services more efficiently.
6. Investigating opportunities and addressing high-risk and material financial issues with the business.
7. Supporting the business in increasing financial accountability by coaching and training to improve financial confidence and competence across the commercial leadership team.
8. Ensuring capital allocation framework is applied efficiently and enhanced according to business requirements for the group.
9. Monitoring financial performance to achieve financial objectives.
10. Conducting monthly performance reviews with deputy CFOs, VPs, and CFOs.
11. Overseeing and facilitating annual planning processes for multiyear strategic plans, budgets, and monthly forecasts.
12. Leading the wholesale and shared services monthly processes, including KPIs and P&L for senior leadership and CFO review.
13. Preparing the annual budget and materials for CEO sign-off with attention to numerical precision and business drivers.
14. Overseeing capital investment governance processes and controls (CER, project controls).
15. Leading the review of business cases and assisting in obtaining resources for high-return investment opportunities for wholesale and shared services divisions.
16. Ensuring adherence to relevant guidelines.
