Company Secretarial Manager (In-House, Cork or Dublin)
Barden is working with a well known business in the utilities/infrastructures/energy sector seeking a company secretary to join the team in Cork or Dublin.
The position reports to the Company Secretary, who has 20 years of experience in this position with the organisation. There are a couple of junior analysts and this is a new role meant to bridge that gap in experience.
The role will be initially offered as a fixed term contract of 2 years. However this is certainly viewed as a longer term position and therefore there is excellent potential for permanency. The organisation has a strong record of hiring on fixed term contracts and retaining such staff.
This is an organisation reputed for offering excellent working environment, work-life balance and flexibility. The company operates a hybrid model with 2 days onsite in the office.
THE ROLE
This is a comprehensive company secretarial role which includes:
* Board and Committees support
* Preparation, attendance, minuting and actioning of the corresponding meetings
* Managing engagement with shareholders
* Managing company law and regulatory compliance and corporate governance requirements and policies
* Supporting on annual reporting, statutory filings, statutory registers and minute books

THE PERSON
* Experience in a Company Secretarial role in Ireland, ideally with 5+ years of experience (3+ years of experience will be considered for exceptionally suitable applicants, as per below).
* Company secretarial experience in industry is preferred and experience in the energy/utilities sector is a significant advantage.
* ICSA qualification is beneficial.
* Experience or strong knowledge of the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies is also viewed as an advantage.
