Global Trade Expert
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our global trade operations.
Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, you will provide expert advice on customs compliance, classification, valuation, and documentation requirements. Your expertise will ensure seamless import/export processes, aligning with all relevant customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
To achieve this, you will develop and implement efficient processes to manage shipments against timely expectations. You must stay updated on changes in customs regulations and industry trends, supporting updates of internal policies and procedures accordingly.
Audit and review regular to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to compliance standards. Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes and resolve issues effectively. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners and other stakeholders.
Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their knowledge and skills in customs brokerage operations. Monitor team workload and identify opportunities for automation and productivity improvements.
* University degree in business-related disciplines such as law, commerce, engineering, or economics.
* In-depth knowledge of export/import laws and regulations across global geographies.
* At least 5 years of experience in customs/global trade export customs and/or trade compliance; technology manufacturing and/or BPO experience is preferred.
* Operational experience in export/import operations and risk management.
* People management experience across different geographies.
* Strong project management skills and technological savviness.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to operate and communicate effectively at all business levels.
* Comfortable in rapidly changing environments with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Self-motivated and proactive with passion for learning and creative problem-solving.
* Proven service delivery and client stakeholder management experience.
