Key job responsibilities
1. Support end-user equipment and IT infrastructure within your building
2. Assist with network projects, such as setting up new Amazon facilities
3. Propose new processes to enhance IT usage in operational sites
4. Train and mentor IT technicians
A day in the life
You will be based on-site, traveling to other operational sites domestically and internationally as needed. You will collaborate with remote and on-site colleagues to resolve issues, implement infrastructure projects, and support site launches. Your days will vary from troubleshooting incidents to developing new IT processes, with opportunities to mentor colleagues and grow your career.
About the team
The Ops Tech IT (OTS) team provides ongoing technical support to Amazon’s global operations. The team includes engineers implementing and creating solutions, as well as management roles providing leadership and support. We emphasize performance and sustainability, operating around the clock to minimize business disruption.
Compensation and benefits
Starting from EUR 1900 gross per month, with additional pay components such as a sign-on bonus and stock options. Benefits include medical, life insurance, retirement plans, meal vouchers, and career development opportunities.
Basic qualifications
* Degree in computer science or related field
* Experience managing heterogeneous networks with Windows and Linux
* Knowledge of networking infrastructure and vendor collaboration
* Valid driver’s license
* Upper intermediate English and local language proficiency
Preferred qualifications
* Industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, Cisco, Microsoft, Linux)
* Experience with diagnostics, problem-solving, and network protocols
* Experience in fast-paced, customer-focused environments
* Knowledge of IT asset management and WLAN
